Email is one of the most convenient methods for contacting people today, but unfortunately this communication method can only be put to use if you have your contact’s email address. There isn’t yet a Yellow Pages book of email addresses available online that contains everyone’s email address in it, so you will have to do some sleuthing on your own if you want to find out how to contact someone by email. There are a few different ways you can locate someone’s email address through their name.

First, you can use a website such as MyFreeEmailSearch. This website allows you to search by a name and locate the right person based on name, age, and other relevant identifying data. However, you will have to pay a small fee to see their email address. Landberg is another great search tool available to you, and this website will do a search of various websites for you, including Friendster, Facebook, and others. The ability to search various sites through one site is a real time-saving benefit indeed. If you want to do the legwork yourself, you can hop onto Facebook and search for the person you are looking for. Most people with a Facebook account have an identifying photo posted online, so you will know if you have the right person. However, their contact information may be blocked from you if you don’t “friend” them first.

As you can see, you have several great options available to you to locate the email address of someone you want to reach. Whether you are trying to contact a long lost friend or relative, an old co-worker or business colleague, or someone else altogether, the Internet has made it easier than ever to reach out and contact almost anyone you want to reach. Put some of these options to use for yourself today and reconnect with those you haven’t communicated with recently.

If you want to know who is sending you emails, you do have that ability. The first step to uncovering the identity of your sender is to research the IP address of the sender.

If you have been getting email from an unknown sender, it is completely understandable that you would want to take time to research more about these emails and uncover who is behind those emails. Sometimes emails from unknown senders are mysterious, and sometimes they are just plain vulgar or annoying, too. Either way, if you want to know who is sending you emails, you do have that ability. The first step to uncovering the identity of your sender is to research the IP address of the sender. The IP address is a unique number that identifies the computer where the sender sent the emails from.

So just how do you go about finding that IP address? From Outlook, open up the email that you are curious about, and then click on “View.” From this screen, then click on “Options.” Go to the “Internet Headers” box and choose “top.” From this page, you can go to the “Received from” data to see the IP address. This is a series of numbers that may be inside parentheses.

Once you have the IP address, you can find any number of free IP search tools on the web. You just have to copy that IP address and plug it into one of the search tools online, which should return the name of the person who owns the computer where the email was sent from. You should keep in mind that sometimes different people will have access to one machine, so the name registered with the IP address may not necessarily be your recipient, but it will definitely get you one step closer to uncovering the identity of who is sending you those emails. As you can see, this process is fast and easy, and it likely will just take you a few minutes to uncover this information about the sender of those emails.

You have the ability to do your own research to learn the identity of the sender, and this can be done by locating the IP address listed on that email message and then researching the IP address ownership through free online search tools.

At one time or another in your life, you will get an email that really piques your interest. This is an email from an anonymous or unknown sender. For some people, merely getting any email from an anonymous source is enough to get your curiosity going. For others, the email may be negative in tone or content, and you may feel the need to contact the sender about sending out such a negative email message. So how can you learn the identity of the sender of that email message?

You have the ability to do your own research to learn the identity of the sender, and this can be done by locating the IP address listed on that email message and then researching the IP address ownership through free online search tools. If this is too complicated, however, there are some online services that will do all of the legwork for you. Email Finder is one such website that operates on a subscription basis, and for a nominal fee, you can uncover the identity of anyone and everyone who sends you a suspicious email. There are also free email search tools available, and these include Free Email Search, Reverse Records, and others.

You should keep in mind that each of these methods will generally provide you with the information you need to know about the ownership of the computer where the email was sent from. You can certainly contact the owner of the computer, and generally either the owner will be the responsible party or will know who sent the emails and can put a stop to them for you. You don’t have to simply accept that some seemingly anonymous person is sending you emails because there is a way to identify the sender and call them on their actions.

If you are getting a lot of spam or email from people that you personally don’t know, then it might be time to put on your investigator’s hat and find out who these people are. More often than not, they are spammers located anywhere around the world who are sending out millions of emails, but sometimes they are written by people who are actually really trying to scam or annoy only you. Luckily, it is not all that difficult to learn how to trace “anonymous” email addresses.

The first thing that you should do is take a look at the header information. No matter what email program you use, or even if you view your email on a website such as Yahoo! or Gmail, there will be a link, usually found at the top of each email, that says “view header.” This will allow you to see all the details of the email, often including the IP address from which it was sent. An IP address can give you a very good idea as to where the email originated and can often be traced to an individual person.

When you are learning how to trace “anonymous” email, keep in mind that the email address in the “From” line may not be their real address. Therefore, looking in the header information for their real address will give you a better idea as to who they are and where they are emailing from. You might be able to track them down by following their Internet provider, their email provider, or even the local authorities.

For the most part, most of the spam you receive is traceable but it often isn’t worth the effort; however, when it comes to individual emails that are harassing in nature, you should definitely track them down and find out from where they originated.
